Vegetable & Culinary Herbs

At Angel's Garden Center we believe that any vegetable or herb picked from your own garden will look and taste infinitely better than what you can buy at even the best green grocer. The flavors of fresh, choice varieties are simply amazing, and there is no going back once you have begun.

If you want a jump start on your garden you will love our well established vegetable and herb plants. If you like to see things grow from the beginning, we have a fabulous selection of vegetable, flower and herb seeds.

Our selection of tomato plants is second to none in the area. We grew some of the most unique old-world heirloom tomatoes* such as Howard German, Cuor Di Bue, Red Brandywine, Amish Paste, San Marzano and Valencia, just to name a few.

In addition to the heirlooms, we grew the tried-and-true favorites; Celebrity, Early Girl, Big Boy, Better Boy, Sweet 110, Roma, Jet Star, Better Bush and Supersonic.

Mulch your tomatoes to keep water from splashing from the soil onto the leaves, which is thought to spread blight. Most heirloom tomato plants get pretty large under good conditions, and should be staked to avoid sprawling over the mulch. Fruit laying on the surface is apt to rot, even on a well-draining mulch like coarse straw. Mulch also keeps soil temperature and moisture conditions more constant.
